How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO

The Upgrade is among the most valuable items in Pokemon GO. It lets trainers evolve Porygon into Porygon2 and also allows them to grow in their Pokedex.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons or gathering tools in order to confer an attribute bonus. They are a crucial component of crafting and can be found through salvaging or purchased from vendors. They can be found as drops in the game dropped by enemies or gathered from item spheres. They can be used to upgrade any weapon or armor that has an upgrade slot.

Using upgrade components to maximize the experience gained when upgrading weapons and gear is key to achieving the highest level of progress in the game. The multiplier of experience of an upgraded item is increased by incorporating organic components, whereas mechanical components reduce it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will increase the amount of learning experience you get and make it easier to reach the next level.

The upgrade system is complex and it's essential to understand how it works to benefit the most from your upgrades. The system keeps a daily total for the item that you are upgrading. Each component has an experience multiplier that can be either positive or negative. When the total reaches the threshold the system resets it to zero.

The amount of experience gained by every upgrade component can be influenced by the item's hidden rank and its multiplier of experience. The items with higher ranks will be more difficult to upgrade, while lower-ranked items are simpler to obtain.

When a new hardware upgrade is installed, it's essential to remove all existing connections and fasteners that hold the old component in place. Save these for later in an inventory tray for easy identification and safe-keeping. Connect all wires and cables, and connect the power supply. Test the computer by turning on. If everything is connected correctly the computer should start up normally. This is an important step to ensure that the new hardware is compatible with your current systems and will operate seamlessly.
